These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of PFAPA Care (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
PFAPA Care helps you record and organize temperature measurements and fever/episode information and share it within a private family group.
PFAPA Care is provided for informational and organizational purposes. It includes support contact, notifications about new episodes and temperature records for family profiles, and language options. Data processing is explained in the Privacy Policy.
PDF reports
PDF reports are generated on the device and summarize information entered by users to support tracking and communication with healthcare professionals. They do not constitute a diagnosis or replace a medical assessment. Before sharing them, check their accuracy and make sure you are authorized to disclose other people’s data.
2. Medical disclaimer
PFAPA Care:
- Does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
- Does not replace professional medical advice.
- Should not be used to make medical decisions without consulting a qualified healthcare professional.
If you believe your child is experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
3. Eligibility
The Service is intended for adults. Recording a minor’s data requires authorization from their legal representative and respect for their rights. A caregiver without legal authority cannot replace that authorization.
4. Accounts and responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Record health information accurately to the best of your knowledge. You may use a profile alias; a real name is not required.
5. Family groups
The Service may allow you to create or join a private family group via a code. When you join a family group, you understand that information recorded within that group may be visible to other members of the same group.
Only share family codes with people you trust.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with its operation
- Upload unlawful content or content that violates the rights of others
- Use the Service to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment to others
7. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service within legal limits. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Notifications may be delayed or not delivered because of connectivity, permissions or device restrictions; they are not medical alarms and do not replace reviewing records or professional care. Support handles app questions, not emergencies or medical consultations.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PFAPA Care is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including decisions made based on information recorded in the Service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these may not apply to you.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time directly from the app settings. You can also send privacy requests to [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse or legal requirements. The Privacy Policy explains your data rights.
Deleting your account does not delete copies of PDF reports you have saved or shared outside PFAPA Care. Those copies must be managed or deleted on the relevant device or service, or through a request to their recipients, as appropriate.
